GILAD LEVY
Director, writer, photographer
Gilad Levy is an aspiring filmmaker and photographer who recently returned to Tel Aviv after four years in Toronto. During his time in Canada, he studied film at Humber College, graduating with honors from the Film and Television Production Program while majoring in directing and cinematography.

In the independent film world, Gilad wrote and directed the narrative short Repercussions, which screened at multiple festivals and earned several awards for its intimate storytelling and strong visual perspective. He also co-wrote and produced the documentary What Remains, which was selected by multiple festivals as well. His on-set experience further includes work as a 1st Assistant Director on multiple short films and a Coca-Cola commercial, where his leadership and attention to detail played a key role in steering the productions.

Gilad also gained significant experience in Toronto’s union film industry as a grip with IATSE 873, contributing to large-scale productions such as Amazon’s hit series Reacher and the upcoming series The Westies. These roles deepened his technical understanding of professional set operations and strengthened his craft.

Now back in Israel, Gilad is continuing his filmmaking journey with the goal of writing and directing his own films, drawing on the diverse training and industry experience he accumulated abroad.
